I have put together an order form on the chapter website for ordering your \u2018collector item t-shirt\u2019 for the Gypsy Run coming up in late June. Here is the link:<\/p>\n

We have over 30 members registered for this ride. I hope everyone will order a shirt, even if you aren\u2019t going on the ride.<\/p>\n You still have an opportunity to register for the ride if you still want to go. Here is the registration link. An email will be sent after you register with hotel information. The rooms might all be taken, but call anyway to make sure.<\/p>\n https:\/\/cnmra.ca\/vancouver\/chapter-bc-a-gypsy-run-2023\/<\/a><\/p>\n For those newer members that are not familiar with the \u201cGypsy Ride\u201d event, here is a bit of history behind it. Way back in 2018 the GWRRA decided to divide up what was called Region J, comprising of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, and Alaska into two new districts. We became part of the North West Coast District with BC, Yukon and Alaska. Kevin Bramhoff from Chilliwack took over the helm with myself as Asst Director and Keiller Gowans as the district Ride Coordinator. Keiller was the former Chapter Director for our great group \u2013 BC-A. He envisioned a ride that would incorporate all the members in the district that could join in on the ride from their respective chapter locations wherever they may be in the province, hence the name GYPSY Run. Keiller went to great lengths to organize each ride every year to be different with opportunities to ride all over this great province. In the fall of 2019 he started working on the 2020 ride which was to be a 4 day event down into Washington and to Sisters, Oregon and back up the coast. He and Chuck Taylor worked on the route and Keiller and Tracy actually drove the route several times to make sure the roads were all good. Well, COVID happened and we were not able to do the ride. We had over 50 members registered for that ride. Since then, Keiller became ill and succumbed to cancer in 2021.
