First off, I would like to welcome Leonard Cox to the group. He purchased a brand new 2022 \u2018wing from the Honda Centre where I think Dan Fortin met him. He has been on a ride or two with Dan and signed up after today\u2019s ride with Dan, Kenny and I. We look forward to many Kilometers\/miles together!<\/p>\n
OK, the reason for this email blast\u2026.Dan has been itching to lead a ride down into Washington ever since the border restrictions eased up, so here is the plan from Dan:<\/p>\n
\u201cMeet at the Chevron gas station in Blaine at 1350 H St., Washington. <\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s not Downtown it\u2019s across the Truck Border Crossing. (<\/strong><\/em>Note \u2013 first left at the lights after the overpass at the truck crossing \u2013 where we have met for years before COVID)<\/strong><\/p>\n Investigate what you need to cross into the US and to be able to come back into Canada. Basically, at this time, you need to be fully vaccinated to enter the US and you must complete the arrive\/can app to return to Canada. If you have Nexus then you can use those lanes for travel. <\/em><\/p>\n Kickstands up at the Chevron at 8 AM with a full gas tank. <\/em>(Note \u2013 you are responsible to get there before 8:00AM, so plan accordingly)<\/strong><\/p>\n There is a Burger King next-door as well as The Chevron for a coffee or something before leaving, if needed. <\/em><\/p>\n If anyone is going to be late I can answer my phone at any time and tell you where we are to meet up with us. <\/em><\/p>\n Arrive in Sedro Wooley for Breakfast\/Brunch at Bonnie Jo\u2019s Cafe about 9:30 am. <\/em>(818 Metcalf St, Sedro-Woolley) <\/strong>This used to be the Hometown Cafe, for those that have been there before.<\/em><\/p>\n Apparently new owners, new name.
