Hi All,
After a long but productive in-person meeting Sunday evening, your chapter team has made some decisions affecting where we will be gathering for Tuesday evening/Saturday/Sunday/Holiday ride events as well as where the new venue will be for our monthly Sunday breakfast. We also hammered out the ride calendar for the rest of 2021 and all of 2022. Those details will come out later this week once we compile all the data into a nice printable/shareable file.
As of this Tuesday (September 21st), all chapter ride events, except where noted otherwise, will begin from the Tim Hortons/A&W restaurant complex located at the intersection of Marine Way and Glenlyon Parkway in South Burnaby. This is two stoplights EAST of Boundary Road. It was chosen as a compromise for those that live in North Vancouver/Vancouver and those that live south of the Fraser River in Surrey/Delta/Richmond and beyond. It is easy to get to for most and has 4-5 food outlets that should surely please all tastes. There is lots of parking and Timmies and A&W both have indoor seating for those rainy times. We will try this out for the next few months to see how it goes.
We have also confirmed a new Sunday breakfast venue – the ABC Restaurant on Schoolhouse Road in Coquitlam. They agreed to move another user group back an hour for us to be able to meet every third Sunday morning for breakfast between 7:30 and 9:30am. There is no minimum buy and we will use the full menu. The meeting room is a tad bit larger than where we have been meeting at Ricky’s and the staff are eager to have our business. This is the same restaurant where we are having our Thursday dinner meetings on the fourth Thursday of the month (coming up this week on September 23rd). We hope to see many of you come out to support this restaurant and our chapter.
Rides and events for the rest of the 2021 season will be coming out shortly as soon as all the details are finalized. Our ride calendar will be posted shortly as well, with lots of things to join in on and lots of new ideas and rides tailored for everybody. Please stay tuned….
