Weekly Update…

Hi Everybody,

As most of you know, I have been on the road in northern BC the last 10 days for work, so not much to report. The roads up here are still gravelly, lots of frost heaves and the weather still just a bit cool for riding. I had snowy, icy roads last Friday due to a freak snowfall overnight, but by noon, everything was clear and wet. Again on Monday, slushy roads on the way out to Prince Rupert, but clear on the way back. You guys have it soooo well down in the lower mainland. No wonder everyone is jealous of our year round riding season….

Congrats to Rob Gosselin on the delivery of his new 2022 GL1800. I know he and Parm will get many more years of riding pleasure out of it. And kudos to Alan Imankhan for pulling the trigger on his new to him 2018 GW1800. I hope to be able to ride with you both in the upcoming weeks….

We cancelled the “Ride for Pie” last weekend – too bad as I hear the weather wasn’t that bad. We will try again in the not too distant future. Here’s what is coming up:

  • Thursday Evening Zoom – March 17th. Wear something green!!! Check your email for the link.
  • Saturday Morning Breakfast Meeting – ABC Restaurant on Schoolhouse in Coquitlam. Finally! No masks required, but they will still want to see your vax card.
  • The Gypsy Ride – coming up in late June (21-26th) is filling up. This is a 6 day run up into northeastern BC (where I have been all this past week). Superb scenery, great roads, and lots of fun and friendship. If you haven’t registered, here is the link:
  • Your district team has been hard at work finalizing the details for the Wings In The Cariboo rally in 100 Mile House. Please mark your calendar and be sure to attend – July 21-24th. We have a few more ride events planned, a great banquet dinner is set to go, and a few new surprises. We would love to see as many Chapter A members attend as possible. Registrations will be open shortly – https://wingsinthecariboo.com

That’s all for now! As always, ride safe! See you Saturday.

Chapter Directors,

GWRRA BC-A
