The Great Pumpkin Run – Sunday Oct 24th

Hi Everybody,

A few years ago while on an evening ride in the Fraser Valley with some of the guys, we rode past a few farms that had large pumpkin patches. Chuck mentioned that we should put together some sort of “pumpkin ride”. Well, that planted a seed in my thought train and I mentioned it to Giselle and it grew from there.

We are proud to announce “The Great Pumpkin Run”, Sunday, October 24th. Be prepared to have some fun and enjoy a nice ride – weather permitting. It will all start from Krause Berry Farm in Langley at 6179 248th St. at 9:30 AM. They have a nice waffle house where you can get fresh, hot waffles topped with your favourite berries and whipped cream. There is a large pumpkin patch where you can go out and pick your own pumpkin – the chapter will pay for it. Once you have the perfect pumpkin picked, we will have a carving contest – so make sure you bring along a sharp knife and a large spoon/scoop to clean out the pumpkin.

We will have everybody judge the pumpkins and the winner will receive a nice gift from the chapter. After all the mess is cleaned up, we will mount the pumpkins on our bikes – bring along some bungee cords or a mesh thingy to hold the pumpkin on your bike – and go for a leisurely ride through the Fraser Valley.
