A Message From Our President

A Season of Transition and Growth: Celebrating Our First Anniversary

As we celebrate our first anniversary in April, I look back with immense pride at what we have built together. This upcoming riding season is shaping up to be a definitive season of transition and growth for the Canadian National Motorcycle Riders Association. Our national footprint is expanding at an incredible pace.

In Ontario, Dan Kapp is leading the charge, and I fully expect his enthusiasm and dedication to achieve great things for our members in the East. Closer to home, we are thrilled to welcome our new riding group in the Okanagan, spearheaded by Eric Copes in Penticton, while Amarjit Dhadwar is working tirelessly to establish our presence in Surrey. Furthermore, our Chilliwack group has seen exceptional growth under the steady leadership of Joe Verhulst. With our membership numbers rising in Alberta, I am confident that 2026 will be the year we officially plant our flag there with our first formal provincial riding group.

While sustainable growth takes time, we have already covered significant ground this year. A major milestone was securing the necessary insurance to officially host our Advanced Rider Training Course (ARTC). As our spring session launches, I want to extend a massive thank you to Rob Ellis and Patrick Frampton. Their countless hours spent refining the curriculum and their unwavering commitment to professional rider education have made this program a reality.

Beyond training, we are excited to announce enhanced member benefits. We have integrated Roadside Towing packages through MTS Towing and now offer Emergency Medical Travel Insurance provided by Acera Insurance. These are just the beginning; as our numbers increase, so does our leverage. We remain committed to using that collective strength to secure even more exclusive benefits for our members. We have a long road ahead of us, but we have already traveled so far. Let’s make our second year even more impactful than our first.

Ride Safe,

Bill Morrill,

President, CNMRA
